Welcome to Tree City Tattoos, also known as Not Your Average Tattoo Shop. By using this website, booking a consultation, contacting our studio, purchasing products, or receiving services from us, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use this website or book services through our studio.

1. About Our Studio

Tree City Tattoos / Not Your Average Tattoo Shop is a tattoo and piercing studio located in Boise, Idaho. We provide tattoo consultations, custom tattoo services, piercing services, aftercare guidance, and related products.

Our website is designed to help visitors learn about our artists, view our services, request consultations, ask questions, and contact the shop.

2. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not use this website to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

Attempt to interfere with the website’s security or functionality.

Copy, steal, reproduce, or misuse our content, images, artist work, branding, or designs.

Harass, threaten, or abuse our team, artists, staff, or other clients.

Submit content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website or refuse service to anyone who misuses the website or violates these terms.

3. Consultations

Tree City Tattoos offers free tattoo and piercing consultations. A consultation does not guarantee an appointment, final price, artist availability, or service approval.

During your consultation, we may discuss your idea, placement, style, size, budget, timeline, and artist fit. Final approval, pricing, and scheduling are determined by the studio and/or artist.

We reserve the right to decline any tattoo, piercing, design, placement, or request at our discretion.

4. Appointments, Deposits, and Booking

Some appointments may require a deposit to secure your time slot. Deposit requirements, cancellation policies, rescheduling rules, and payment terms may vary depending on the artist, service, design, and appointment type.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

Deposits are used to reserve appointment time.

Deposits may be non-refundable.

Deposits may be applied toward the final cost of the service.

Missed appointments, late cancellations, or repeated reschedules may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Large custom pieces, full-day sessions, or multi-session work may require special booking terms.

Please contact the shop directly if you need to reschedule or have questions about your appointment.

5. Walk-Ins

Walk-ins may be accepted during business hours when artists are available. Walk-ins are first come, first served and are not guaranteed.

Availability may depend on artist schedules, design complexity, piercing needs, client eligibility, and shop capacity.

6. Pricing

Tattoo pricing is generally based on the piece, not by the hour. Factors may include size, detail, placement, color, style, complexity, artist, and session length.

Any quote given during a consultation is an estimate unless confirmed by the artist or studio. Final pricing may change if the design, size, placement, complexity, or appointment requirements change.

Full-day sessions, special projects, cover-ups, large-scale work, and custom designs may have different pricing structures.

7. Payments

We may accept payment by cash, card, or other approved payment methods. Payment must be made in full at the time of service unless another arrangement has been approved by the studio in writing.

Payment plans or special arrangements must be discussed directly with the shop and are not guaranteed.

Client is responsible for ensuring payment information is accurate and valid.

8. Age Requirements and Identification

Clients must provide valid government-issued identification when required.

For tattoos, clients must be 18 or older unless a parent or legal guardian is present and signs the required consent forms for eligible minors. The website currently states minors ages 14–17 may be tattooed with a parent or legal guardian present and a signed consent form.

We reserve the right to refuse service if identification, consent, age eligibility, or legal requirements cannot be verified.

9. Health, Safety, and Client Responsibility

Tattooing and piercing involve risk, including but not limited to pain, swelling, bleeding, allergic reaction, infection, scarring, fading, irritation, or healing complications.

By receiving services from us, you agree that:

You are voluntarily choosing to receive a tattoo or piercing.

You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies, skin issues, medications, pregnancy, immune conditions, or other concerns that may affect the service or healing process.

You are not under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or any substance that could impair consent or safety.

You understand that results may vary based on skin type, placement, aftercare, lifestyle, sun exposure, and healing.

You will follow all aftercare instructions provided by the studio or artist.

We may refuse service if we believe a service is unsafe, inappropriate, or not in the best interest of the client.

10. Aftercare

Proper aftercare is required for the best possible healing and final result. We provide aftercare guidance after your session and may recommend aftercare products.

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in infection, poor healing, fading, scarring, or other complications. Tree City Tattoos is not responsible for issues caused by improper aftercare, neglect, outside products, swimming, sun exposure, picking, scratching, or failure to follow instructions.

If you experience unusual pain, swelling, discharge, allergic reaction, signs of infection, or other medical concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional immediately.

11. Tattoo and Piercing Results

Every body heals differently. We do our best to provide high-quality work, but we cannot guarantee exact healed results.

Tattoo and piercing results may be affected by:

Skin type

Placement

Movement

Aftercare

Sun exposure

Age of skin

Previous tattoos or scars

Lifestyle

Medical conditions

Jewelry quality and fit

Healing behavior

Touch-ups, adjustments, or follow-up appointments may be recommended at the discretion of the artist or studio. Touch-up policies may vary by artist and project.

12. Custom Artwork and Design Ownership

All custom artwork, sketches, tattoo designs, flash, drawings, logos, photos, written content, website content, and creative materials remain the intellectual property of Tree City Tattoos, the individual artist, or the original rights holder unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You may not copy, reproduce, resell, distribute, or use our artwork, tattoo designs, photos, website content, or branding for commercial purposes without written permission.

Paying for a tattoo service does not grant ownership of the original design, artwork, stencil, digital file, or creative concept unless a separate written agreement is made.

13. Photos, Videos, and Portfolio Use

We may ask to photograph or video completed tattoos, piercings, sessions, healed work, or studio content for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, educational, or promotional purposes.

By allowing us to take photos or videos, you grant Tree City Tattoos permission to use that content for marketing and portfolio purposes unless you clearly request otherwise in writing before the content is used.

We respect client privacy and will make reasonable efforts not to publish identifying information without permission.

14. Products and Merchandise

If products, aftercare items, jewelry, merchandise, or other goods are offered through the website or in-shop, availability, pricing, descriptions, and product details may change at any time.

We do our best to display accurate product information, but we do not guarantee that all product descriptions, images, pricing, or availability are error-free.

All product use is at the customer’s discretion. Follow all product instructions and discontinue use if irritation or reaction occurs.

15. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund and cancellation policies may vary depending on the service, product, artist, and appointment type.

Unless otherwise stated:

Completed tattoo and piercing services are final.

Deposits may be non-refundable.

Custom artwork fees may be non-refundable.

No-shows may lose their deposit.

Late arrivals may need to reschedule.

Product refunds or exchanges may be limited for hygiene and safety reasons.

16. Right to Refuse Service

Tree City Tattoos reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any lawful reason, including but not limited to:

Unsafe tattoo or piercing requests

Offensive, hateful, or inappropriate designs

Lack of valid ID

Lack of required parental/legal guardian consent

Intoxication or impaired judgment

Harassment, threats, or disrespectful behavior

Medical or safety concerns

Failure to follow studio rules

Repeated no-shows or cancellations

Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, professional, and welcoming environment for clients, artists, staff, and families.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate and updated, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.

Services, pricing, hours, availability, artist schedules, policies, phone numbers, promotions, and website content may change at any time without notice.

18. Third-Party Links and Tools

Our website may include links, booking tools, forms, maps, payment processors, social media platforms, or other third-party services.

We are not responsible for the content, policies, errors, security, or practices of third-party websites, apps, processors, or platforms. Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tree City Tattoos, its owners, artists, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages related to your use of the website, services, products, tattoo work, piercing work, consultations, or communications.

You understand that tattoos and piercings involve personal choice and physical risk. You accept responsibility for your decision, your aftercare, and any information you provide to the studio.

Information on this website, in consultations, or provided by studio staff is not medical advice.
